Yes I'm afraid it is the bendy pole senario. But it only took me and my 6 year old son about half an hour to put up. providing you put all the poles through first before you lock everything in place it's fairly simple.

Sorry I've got no idea of the measurements. the rooms were all quite generous for the size quoted.

Bob and anyone who want to know about this tent.....

look here

it's not actually showing the dimensions of the Ontario 8 but the Indiana 8 is the same tent minus the SIG. If you look at the Indiania 8 you can also see a video on how to erect this tent.

Some friends have just got one, it's currently set up in our garden for a rain test.

But can anyone tell me if this tent can be packed away and pitched with the inner sleeping compartments in place. Or do these need to be removed and re-attached each time.

Thanks,

Jason Wallace

We've been camping in one of these since April, thats 5 trips so its ahd a good test!

And we love it!  Hubby can put up on his own now (needs about 2 mninutes help with the canopy we also bought) if the kids are playing up, and really there could be no easier tent to pitch (maybe bar a QE).  The space is such that we dont use the second small pod even with 3 kids (they ahev the big room, we use the small one) and it ahs taken such a battering from both children and weather alike and we cant see anything to complain about.  Indeed, this could be our first tent to be NOT replaced after a season LOL

I would seriouslt recommend this tent as exceptional value for money, we also bought the footprint / canopy and the carpet (from Outdoor Megastore- its an Ouwell but fits perfectly, they ahve it on the ontario page).  the canopy has been brilliant fro those wet evenings as we can still sit out with a beer.  The carpet is fab for the boys to rolla round on playing games.

Oh and the inners need removing but it takes me under 5 minutes to pit them up so not a huge problem.

Peachy sorry to say this but you need to reassess your packing technique!!!! lol We also have this tent and can pack it away in its bag with the double and one of the single pods still attached. The thing we love about the tent is being able to be completely set up with the beer chilling within the hour.

*should say the kansas 8 and the ontario 8 are the same tent*

Hello...
Can anyone tell me what the light levels are like in the Ontario/kansas 8 please?
Thinking of getting one but not seen one in real life and from pics it loks like it might be a bit gloomy with not much of a view if you were stuck indoors on a rainy day....?

Any opinions much appreciated.

Cheers!
