I've got the Eurohike flash 2 man, you can get a double airbed in but not 2 singles. It's a double skin & pops up & down really easily. I went inro Millets & asked if they'd demo one, they were very helpful. Showed me, then let me try on my own a few times 'just to make sure I was comfortable with it before buying one'.
A word of warning: the Flash unpitches end up & folds into a figure if 8 so the extra length of the 3 berth could be a problem if you're not very tall.

Lol!

I have a lot of tents. I'd have to get them out of the cupboard and count them to find out how many, but I can't be bothered. I have tents from a Gelert Nakina Plus (£22.00) which doesn't leak to a Vango Force 10 Mk 4 (which also doesn't leak, and a few in between.

However, the best value tent I have ever bought is a Quechua 2-second (2-person) tent from Decathlon. In fact, it is so good, in any weather conditions, that I am thinking of buying two more, the 2-second XL with the living area and porch, and the 1-second, which is the same as the two second but packs to a circle of just 57cm diameter.

Go with the Gelert if you want to, but avoid the Outwell one, they are a lot more expensive and modern Outwell tents leak. Id you have a Decathlon near to you, go there, they are brilliant.

Buy the way. All those of you who are looking for a family tent and fancy the Outwells, won't buy Vango and any of the other better brands, but are worried about quality, look at Decathlon. They have their own brand of family tents, made in their own factory in France and are watertight.

lol yep hubby a size 38" and me a size 18 (was a 22 but lost loads of weight) and i can say that even in the quechua when we are lay side by side there is still enough room for us and a 10 year old to sleep.

22 is about my size (and my husband's weight!)  .. or it will be soon if i don't stop sitting on here and go and get some excercise unsure smileys

we use a campingaz double mattress so that about defines the sleeping area.  If more people (or people who don't want to sleep cuddled up) want to share a quechua 2 second then there probably is plenty of room if you use the self inflating thingies.

I am lending one of my quechuas to 2 friends for a festival this year and they are happy at the prospect of spending 3 nights in it.

I only changed to a ridgidome so i could stand up and get dressed. It seems to me ideal to use a khyam xl for the 'main' tent and pop-ups for extra bedrooms.

Thanks everyone for your comments you've given me loads of ideas.

After the girls camping in a small leaking 2 man tent on a very wet bank holiday weekend the Quechua 2 second Xl sounds great !, as the girls really would like some living space and the porch would be handy.

Just need to find a branch of Decathlon nr Berkshire now!

Thanks again  Dez&theGang
