Hi Mont. We have used the Outwell indianna 8 for the last couple of years and its awesome. Its a tunnel tent and easy copes with 5 of us. Wife doesn't get on with dome tents as it makes her feel costerfobic (spelling ummm) This one you can easily walk around in and i am 5 ft 12. A couple of pics in my gallery

Poles are weighty though. Weather proofing is best i have witnessed.

Some great prices on E-Bay

Found this sorry for the assay

Outwell Indiana 8 Tunnel Tent - 2007 Model

Last year, the Outwell Indiana was labelled as the natural successor to the fantastically successful Colorado range. This tunnel tent is designed for spacious but practical family camping (ideal for those of you who can't stand the sight of each other) and with each tent having the new universal inners, gives a variety of sleeping options. The Indiana range features the Outwell Power Stability steel pole structure and the Outtex 5000 polyester flysheet. Unlike the Montana's, the Indiana range feature fully detachable bathtub groundsheets that act as a barrier to most of what the British weather can throw at them. All tents in the range feature a front and side door with mesh screenhouse doors for hot evenings, large View-Vent panoramic window panels, extensive ventilation 'envelopes' and a zip-off front canopy.

On the Indiana 8, the 3+3 universal bedroom inner can be used in a variety of ways - for 6 people, 3+3 people or just 3 people. There is also an additional 2-berth inner which can be erected in the living space area of the tent bringing it up to its full 8-berth potential. The tent can be pitched flysheet first or as one and comes complete with wheeled carry bag; Outwell doormat; internal organizer; reinforced, adjustable guy points; internal pockets for storage; lamp holder; pre-attached luminous guys; full length mesh pockets; heavy duty Outwell zips; hanging organizer, complementary temperature gauge and guyline retainers.

Weight: 22.6kg (for canvas) and 23.9kg (for poles)
Pack Size: 78x40x42 (canvas); 24x75 (poles)
Dimensions: (Inner) 150+250+150+215 x 405cm
Height: 210cm; Inner Height: 200cm

The VD 900 was on our list prior to making our latest purchase. In the end we opted for the Khyam just over at £325. The VD is a decent tent though.

For me, Khyam edge it in the quaity stakes, and the Nebraska deluxe has some nice touches.

Hi Viktor,

Looking to buy either the Khyam Nabraska delux or the Outwell nabraska xl, £200 difference between the two but Hubby is 6'2 and the kids are growing fast (4 boys).

We've looked on all the websites for pictures of the Khyam but there is nothing of the inside or much info of the headroom.  I can see that there is quite substantial living area in the Khyam but how high?  We know there is'nt a problem with the Outwell except the cost.  Could you please advise?

Regards

Bindi

Hi all, thanks for all your advice.  I eventually bought the Gelert Michigan 10.  As we only plan on tenting for a few weekends, rain willing, we felt the cost was an issue.

Had the tent up over the weekend, looks good but a bit of a gap at the bottom and whats the right way round for the ground sheet? Never mind we'll work it out.  The bedrooms are really big and are sig so will be snuggly and warm.

  Thanks to all.  Regards

Monty blonky
