I agree - but my back garden is not big enough.

If the weathers good within a day or two - then my neighbours are used to seeing our tent on the front lawn.  It dries much faster when up !

If weather outlook is poor then mines in the garage - I have ropes hanging from the garage rafters.  I sling the outter up there and the inner tent thrown over my trailer.

ah you are all making me jealous and wishing i had a garage! think may look into the attic thing in future as it is very high...only problem is it isnt properly insulated on the roof part so there is frequently dust/dirt falling from the roof ... which would therefore mean the tent gets dusty

think for us the best is my dining room it is sun facing most of the day (when we have some and when not filled with bathroom rubble!)

This might sound daft but if you have the room put it up in the garden, even if it rains on it it will eventually be sunny enough for long enough to dry it out and then when it is completely dry you can pack it up. A wet tent is better up than down!
