Just thought I would report back on my first outing with the Sunncamp Kashmir 400 which we bought after getting sound advice from this site. It may help anyone thinking of buying one:

The tent is great, a fine geodesic style – I like the blue colour too! It has a good sized living space and bedroom space – it’s a ‘four person’ tent but has bags of room for the 2 of us and my sister who sheltered in with us during a burst of rain over breakfast and we had loads of room.

Pitching it was pretty easy – colour coded poles and simple instructions.  We felt that one person would struggle on their own but could perhaps manage it. One thing was that the top hook for hanging the bedroom inner was too high for us short people and we had to find something to stand on to hook it up! We used the bedding bag to give us that extra few inches.

We particularly liked the bath tub ground sheet that is joined to the bedroom inner. We could choose to have it bath ‘tubbed’ up at the entrance or down depending on the weather/activity. We used a B&Q tarpaulin as a base ground sheet so the whole tent inner and tub ground sheet were protected and don’t need cleaning (again a great tip picked up on this site).

It did rain and the tent I can now say is water proof. Have lots more questions and will ask them on other messages but for now:

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all who helped us make the decision to buy this tent especially Elegant Mess who found it at SK Camping (Godstone) for £155.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!
