We had our last weekend away last weekend and this is about the normal time we give up.

We tend to have other things that we do in the winter and most of the motorsport events we camp at are finished now so we pack it all away from about now.

Fitted the bedrooms today no probs and the roof liner too, ( bit of a fiddle but looks lovely! )
If you mean that the roof liner was a fiddle to fit cos of having to reach up high to clip it on, you could fit it when the tent is on it's knees, after you've tied the tapes in the corners, but before you hoist it up to full height.

Thanks jean good idea, It was OK to reach just took a while to figure out which way round it went due to the odd shape of the frame, and it forms the 'kitchen' area which only became clear when it appeared!

piglet: thought this was about time most stopped camping, but was hping for a bit more sun so we can try it out properly! ho hum.....

ab,

i had exactly the same problem when i first put mine up, took me ages to figure out which way round to put the roof liner. Even tho they don't have a proper kitchen extension(the jutty out type) they're still massive inside. I love mine and hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as i do from mine. (ps was it from ebay? I had my eye on it if it was )

To make you feel better, we pitched our new (to us) Andorra and the folks we got it from had taken the curtains down It took me longer to work out where each of the curtains went than it did to pitch the rest of the tent

The Andorra has two separate curtains that cordon off the kitchen area, I'd never come across that before as none of our other Cabanons do!! It took me bleeding ages

Does your Andorra have the removable panel, on the left hand side, or the zip up one? The zip up one is especially useful, I reckon, because you can roll up both the front and side living area of the tent, which is brilliant in hot weather.

We have the Espace which works on the same principle, and we found it was cooler in the living area (which was in fact our dining area) than under any gazebo or canopy, due to the excellent ventilation and roof liner - a fab feature when the temps soared, in France, this year!

The Andorra is a super tent, especially with the designated kitchen area (also good to stow the loo out of sight, behind the curtain) and back door, and it's a great pity they have stopped making it.

Hope you get many years of happy camping in yours, Piglet!

Hi Lidds

Ours is the slightly older one with the roll up panel. We are really pleased with it, we paid £122 for it on ebay and it was close by. It's in fantastic condition, has been wonderfully cared for and has the sun canopy.

We had the front fully rolled up at the weekend which was great but it wasn't quite hot enough to roll the side up, it looks like a great feature.

OH cooks and was soooooo impressed at the rear cooking area, he loved the back door and had the top of the door open for ventilation and so he could see the world going by!

We think the kitchen curtains are likely to be voted "most irritating" feature of the tent though!! All that pushing past them....on bigger group camps if we use it, we'll have a separate kitchen tent and will use that space for the loo though so they'll be useful then.
