We've got a Sunncamp Sprint...very sturdy steel poles and completely enclosed thanks to a SIG...Used it for a week last year without incident but it didn't rain the whole time. Very easy to pitch, you just make a cubic shape with the poles, hang the inner on it and then just drape the outer over.  Using it again in May when hopefully it'll rain. We'll see what it's made of then.

I bought the Sunncamp Vario 600+ last year.  It's a great tent and this year they brought out the carpet for it so were going to get that also.  There is a small room which was designed originally for a wardrobe which we put a chemical toilet in.  Great for the kids during night and me after a few cans.  Rooms zips up and keeps it hidden.

The shape of the Evolution put me off a bit Devo. The conical nose bit.

Sorry Devo, the weather beat us.

It was chucking it down on Saturday afternoon (we live in a flat and had arranged to borrow a friends garden overnight) so postponed until the Sunday. Stopped raining too late for us so we have re-arranged for next Sunday, cannot do the Saturday due to the impending arrival of the Easter bunny and I will post more then.

Maybe I am not cut out for this camping lark though, the thought of getting my new "baby" all wet and muddy breaks my heart.

Pitching the Sunncamp was much easier than I had expected. From getting the poles out to having the tent erected, although with plenty to do inside, took us 35 minutes. Bear in mind that this was our first go at pitching and that there were three adults, so hopefully will be quicker once we have got the hang of things. The only real "faff" was getting the pins into the poles, this took some muscle and I am not sure how easy this would be in a stiff breeze.

De-pitching (is this the correct word?) was a doddle. It would have taken seconds if the ladies had not spent so long doing a passable impression of ornaments but only took minutes. Mind you the sky had gone black and I knew what was coming even if Mrs Trifecta and her pal did not so I was not hanging around. It is fairly logical to a non/new punter.

The door system is a bit of a strange one, you zip up the insect barrier and then zip the door and then there are various bits of velcro which get stuck. This morning I very nearly embarrassed myself due to "hanging on" and then getting frustrated with the various zippers which were impeding my progress but I imagine that it will become obvious. Either that or I will have to invest in an Edgar Allen

Biggest problem with the Evolution is the lack of secondary mesh door on exterior doors - specially when you're a scaredy cat with spiders n stuff. My brother has one and I'd love one, were it not for that problem.

Are you still as happy with the Vulcan, trifecta? I'm selling my Gelert Tahoma on ebay at the moment because it's too bulky/time consuming to pitch. I'd really love to get a Khyam Chatsworth for the speed of erection (coff) but I was wondering if the Vulcan was a cheaper alternative?

weve got the sunncamp magnum xp and the tourist 600. love the magnum never had any problems with it. but the tourist, think we got a rogue one as most of the seams started to go after 1 use. i know what your gonna say, should have taken it back. i was going to but when i rang camping centre, he told me to leave it until the bank holiday rush was over and then bring it back to check it. but he did say that i probably put it up in strong winds. no actually we put it up in a heat wave, no wind no rain. didnt fancy argueing so didnt bother taking it back. however it did stand up to gale force wind and heavy rain last summer at weymouth, you know the flood week. so shouldnt really complain and seams not moved more that they had after first use, although front posts have bent a bit with the wind.

now got a gelert quebec 8+4 and love it, but not as much as magnum xp. but its an awkward size and some sites wont take it especially haven.

need to sell both sunncamps now no room to store

We've got the evolution 600. Fantastic space in the bedrooms, never had any problems witth leaks etc.
