We don't need most of that kit and kaboodle - the only thing we still need is the main event - the tent (however, a new airbed that we didnt need to pump up in the middle of the night would be good too). How have they managed to break the tent in 2 places if they have only used it twice? It just makes me think that either they haven't really looked after any of their equipment or that the tent is not robust enough. Hey it's not yours is it? The diablo we borrowed is about 4 years old i think and I am not joking it was pristine and I know it has had a life its not just been sat in the loft. That, if nothing else, has given me bags of confidence in the vango make.

Thanks again for looking for me!

Linny

Bought the larger Zambezi this summer after being really impressed with the showroom display and sales patter.

To be fair it is a lovely looking tent, loads of room and plenty of nice touches. Looked a great family tent which is what we were after.

First time we pitched it there were a couple of issues, loads of stress on one side leading to some damage when we tried to secure one of the poles. I assumed it was something I was doing wrong but after loosening and tightening everything on the tent for the next hour I couldn't make any difference to it.

Next day it rained and the Zambezi sprung leaks everywhere.

Add to that a couple of other manufacturing faults and I was really dissapointed with Vango.

Took it back to the dealer when we got back, the "excellent family tent" patter was quickly replaced with "yeah, leaks like a siv, we're not stocking them anymore". Thanks mate.

I have an aspen 700dlx and its fantastic, though do admit the footprint is needed as the groundsheet is very thin and it has two holes in it from the chairs as a result. Well my friend was so impressed she decided to buy a similar model the Zambezi. Well we went camping so she could test out her new tent. Tears flowed as she discovered that one of the doors would not close as the zip was faulty and the bar across the top was bent and then gave way. Then the rain started and so did the leaks. she has took it back to the camp shop who refuse to give a refund, but will send it back to Vango to repair. Is this common practice?
My Friend is so upset after spending so much money she expected a high quality tent and got a shoddy, poorly made tent.
how can she get here monies back. if anyone has any advice please let me know. thanks

Contact Vango and demand the tent goes back to them. They will supply you with a couriers number to collect the tent. I refuse to have another Zambezi and have demanded an upgrade tent from next years stock. Lets see what happens as I lost money on our family holiday when we had to end our holiday short due to leaking damaged tent!!!
Nice looking tent. pity it has so many flaws.
