wow, can't believe how many of us have a Canaria 4....I love mine. In fact, I love it so much that I would like another one...how much are you looking for WigglyWoo.?
In relation to the footprint/groundsheet question, we use a 2m x 3m builders tarp as a groundsheet (B&Q) and then we use the carpet from our Icarus 500 - it covers all of the living area and about 2/3 under the bedroom pod too for extra protection & comfort.
Please post pics of your Canaria 4, here's mine

Hi Louiseadawn, no dont reproof it yet. if you can leave it up for a few (preferably wet or heavy dew) nights the problem could be solved.
It is called weathering, we used to need to do it on all the old cotton canvas tents if they were new or had been packed away for any length of time. it closes up the minute gaps in the weave.
The thing is if it doesn't work, it has cost nothing so you can go on to reproof it. But it usually does work.
one final point, which I'm doesn't need saying, when you have done it dry it before packing it away.
Hi there, I have a Relum Canaria 4 berth tent. I have instructions for Canaria 3,4 & 5 in a .jpg file, if you still need them I'm happy to email them to you.
