We had a really good time!

The tent was amazing. I was massively nervous about how we would get it up but followed superjules tips and it went up probably in just over an hour. I did spend quite a while getting very toasty inside trying to detach the bedrooms. Don't think we'll bother doing that again tho!

The tent carpet went in and made the flooring much warmer and I was stunned at the size of the storage area at the back. It's huge!
We knew that the weather was going to be dodgy on our first night but were hoping that pitching and de-camping the in dry should be possible which it was. The tent was dismantled easily enough and cleaned and repacked first time.

Considering our first night in it, it chucked it down, we did get some condensation but that's onyl to be expected really with a ZIG. Which is ingenious!

The site we were on was pretty good too.

Needless to say I'll be leaving reviews in a mo about the tent and the site. We did have a super time (stressful stroppy whiny kids aside) and now we're planning on one more trip this season for our wedding anniversay in a couple of weeks not too far from home.

Thank you all very much for your tips and information. It helped us choose the right tent and get it up in one go! Thank you!!!!!

BTW superjules, you must be superwoman. Can't get over the fact you can get that tent up yourself. That's mighty impressive, I couldn't even put the bedrooms pods back in cos I'm so short! Hats off!

Oh I do love Coleman tents. Glad you had a good time, our Coleman Cedar Creek is pretty high and I am tall, but I take a little folding plastic stool with me to tie the inner pole to the roof, this doubles as a table as well!!
Been looking at Coleman tents in the USA, absolutely see no reason why we Brits cannot have what they have, feast your eyes...

Glad to hear you had a good time! Out of interest what do you think of the porch? Personally this is my only real critisism (apart from the erection!) - the porch is small, the ropes and poles seem to get in the way and basically it would be better with a canopy (covered above and both sides - perfect place to cook if weather is bad). Can you buy these - any ideas?

Karen

Jules, I normally take the bedrooms out when we take it down and store them separately. When we're erecting it, I have to either: lift the kids up to get the high bedroom toggles done up; or get OH to do it (if he's with us).

Glad you enjoyed your break and your new tent. Before long you'll be putting it up in half that time!
