.... I think they are brill tho and will be getting some more to replace the black groundsheet in the picture. They will be much better when it rains as the rain will drain away. ....
Hi. I have some interlocking tiles which we've had for years and its great to have two or three for just outside the tent door in wet weather. They are quite bulky to transport but worth it for longer stays I think.
I'm intrigued as to why you had put a groundsheet down in front of your tent to make a sort of plastic patio though - what's that all about? MT

To cover the mud patch that the previous occupants left (in our case)...
Oh I see. Well, yes, a couple of interlocking tiles would be a better idea then as it would give you a dry area to step out onto and still let the pitch recover . MT

Well, grass is sort of an integral feature of camping! But you are clearly very tent proud and tents with Sigs/Zigs do present more issues about grass, sand etc so I can sort of see why you might be tempted to do something like this.
In view of the number of posts lately, including one above in this thread, about balding or muddy patches left on pitches, if you really wanted to do this another time might it be possible to think about lifting your outside groundsheet when you are out during the day, overnight etc? Just a thought. MT

Interlocking thingies look like the way forward agreed... But they'll have to wait until we buy a trailer as I've hit the limit on what we can fit in...
