Yes will do, anything to show off my tent again ha!  We found wasps a real pain at a site in Anglesey last Sept, we must have been pitched on their flight path & until we pulled the netting down (on the Monty) they were in every 5 minutes and of course in a tent they get lost behind the bedroom pods etc - I really hate wasps especially in September when they are particularly grumpy!

£100 seems a lot, but Im the same with OH the last thing I want is him hating an otherwise perfect camping trip because he's getting bitten to death & the site in France is renowned for the mossies aswell.

I'd be very interested to see your pics too Fiona. I've added a no-see-um mesh inner door to the bedroom pod in our Cabanon this winter, but I took the existing zip out altogether, cut the top of the door to an arch (so it's a 'D' door now), then double zipped it so that we can have either mesh, canvas or both doors closed. I put a double zip pull on too, so that we can open the door from top or bottom.

However, I'm just a bit scared of doing the same thing to the main door of the tent - knowing my luck although the bedroom door turned out great, I'd probably mess up with the main door   So I'd be very interested in having a go at adding the mesh without having to interfere with the main zip.

If you fancy mesh doors on a frame tent, wouldn't it be simple enough to make an independent panel, wider than the door, fix inner tent clips to the top and pegging rubbers to the bottom, and either clip it up as and when required or draw it to one side and toggle back with the door fasteners?

I think it might have been you Jean who gave me the idea originally.  I had hoped for zips after receiving an initial quote before Xmas but after they looked at tent it turned out to be too expensive.  As for the pole clips liddenham wouldn't that leave a gap between the mesh and tent for bugs to get in. Im a bit nervous about the finished result but these are the people recommended by CGI for repairs & alterations so we'll see!

                       Thanks for the price info at £100 that's ok, for what will be a proffesional bit of work from TVS, I think this will be a November project for my tent, TVS are only 10 miles from me, and I pass by quite often with work, so will be popping in sometime after the summer to have a chat with Graham, the whole idea of having a mesh doorway is such a good idea, and the thought of having it as a zipped closure is even more interesting, such a practical addition to almost any tent I would think, I like the sound of Liddenham's lash up solution, certainley a lower cost option, I may even take some mesh with me for this years trip to France.
