I phoned Great Outdoors and they are out of stock until they get the new stuff in which is probably April 2010. If anyone sees them in stock either elsewhere or on this site link again, can they post a message so that it lets me and anyone else interested know! Had 2 seasons now with lakes under the tent so this groundsheet is crucial. I am sure once I get one that I might have a dry week of camping and therefore it would have been a waste of money, but that is fine with me!
Our old, basic Vango Diablo (no XP etc) stood up to the tail end of the hurricane that hit the south west this year (2009) in August. We were in Pembrokeshire so right in the south west corner of Wales and on the coast too. It stood up to the strong winds and gusts over 60 mph I am told. This is better than some other tents in the field. Even the sun canopy stayed up but then I do have Delta Ground Anchors on the tent and canopy. I have 6 on the tent and 2 on the canopy. I would not camp without them. The Diablo will stand up to quite a bashing in the wind as long as you anchor it well, so get anchors!
Hi all. I know this is rather oldbut can I just add a couple of points.
We have the Diablo 900XP and found it stood upto everything the Pembrokeshire weather could throw at us at the end of July and start of August. It's a great tent.
The reason forthe difference in price between the XPand the DLX is simply that the XP was last year's model and the DLX is this year's. No doubt next year the DLX will be significantly cheaper than the SuperDLX or whatever Vango brings out.

Hi Linny. Tried the Killington 900 and were disappointed as it did not seem to have the same "feel" as the diablo. No storage pockets, no door to the central dome. Just didn't like it as much.
no i know what you mean about the feel - it could do with a little porch door too - it should have storage pockets in the porch and in the bedrooms. The biggest advantage comes whenever you have to pitch it or take it down in the rain...
