Tent arrived last week and managed to pitch yesterday. (In fact it's still up as we had yet more rain yesterday afternoon). Just fitted onto the lawn.
Everything there, all looks very good. You can tell it's been used a few times (mainly just from odd marks from mud) but that's what I was told & expected.
The side with the tensioning straps for the pole seems to sit a bit higher up than other side but think that's just down to adjustment & where the pole goes through above the main bed pod the material looks a bit tight and can see light through a few of the stitching holes but no rain came through and again may just need some adjustment of straps (inside is taped anyway), any advice from other SV8 owners on pitching & adjustment greatfully received.
When I've got some photos I'll post. Thanks to everyone for advice etc and for all the reviews I've speant weeks trawling through.
We'd looked at details of losts of different tents and went to a show to look at different ones in the flesh. SV8 was the ideal combination of all things we were looking for and buying second hand meant we got exactly what we wanted from the more expensive tents we looked at (but couldn't afford) at a cheaper price than some of the other options when adding an extension to get the porch area.
It's surprising how different a tent can seem in the flesh than images on the net. We found that at the show we went to and when we got the SV8 up. It looks great.
