I would not bother if it's Outwell your buying, you can pay over 1k and still have issues like many poor members have on here. There quality has declined dramaticly of late. I fancy a Bear Lake as a second tent, greedy I know but there's no way I'm parting with any cash until they sort these issues.

Just buy a standard model and save your cash.............no flames please.

I brought a Wild Country tent last weekend, we saw ours pitched and it was the quality that got me - and I know nothing about tents! 

The groundsheet is super duper thick and although there are websites selling the footprint for my tent, I am just going to get some tarp. instead to keep the bottom of my tent clean.

I joined here to ask about Wild Country tents as I had never heard of them and now I am glad I purchased mine as they seem to be a good make.

I am hoping (but quite sure) you will be pleased with your tent.

I really hope you don't and i'm sure you won't but please check it before you leave and check with other proud bear owners if they soaked it before the holiday. Nothing worse than getting to your destination and disaster, holiday should be a holiday not a gamble............... you will be fine. Nice outfit, it just makes me mad when I read about hard working people who spend a small fortune expecting the best and let down by poor quality control.. ggggrrrrrrr

I just ordered the Halo 73 from Go Outdoors. I have a "camping expert" mate who works in Loughborough who just went and visited the Go Outdoors store in his lunchbreak. He's a "premium brand" man in everything he buys but doesn't like paying over the odds for things if he can avoid it.   He's been recommending I look at a higher-end model than the Vango Orchy I originally looked at and was suggesting a Montana as a possibility.
