Missed that one - somehow?
But yes - bigger than the 400 by 3/4 metre, and only marginally smaller than the 600.
Okay so again it's only got two bedrooms, but again a pop up tent can be used - and at £299.00 and an hour or so's drive that has to be worth a look!

Sumatra - great tent - just watch the poles however - the later 09 has alloy instead of fibreglass - they didnt change them for no reason !

I would say an 08 Sumatra ( you will pay 400 plus for an 09 ) and a spare pole or two would be an ideal answer -

but not in the same quality band as outwell Pollycottons

Thank you Simon - something to check and ask when I go.. so if they are fibreglass - may be an idea to research more... or enquire on stronger poles?!

the '09 sumatra can be got for £350 shopping around.
the '08 is only £289 from duncancamping.

yes, i was worried about the powershield poles, not now after the rain we had the other weekend!
i was expecting to return to the tent and seeing it collapsed, but she stood up fine.

Just had a look at their website - they do inners for them as well, and a stove with a flue!! Gee, I could blow my budget with them quite easily.

The OH is concerned it being a "2nd".
Out of interest, any one with an 08 model, I'm interested on the spec difference apart from the poles mentioned above earlier...
Does anyone have one that could comment on the below:

"The windows and skylights let in plenty of light. The windows that sit each side of the front door have a protected mesh panel at their apex for ventilation. The inner tent is vented on to an outer mesh panel.
Vango has added some nice touches to the Sumatra. For starters, there is the exterior storm skirt. Then there are the guy line tidies - no more tangled guys to unravel when pitching. It is nice to see a rain gutter incorporated on the zip flap to help prevent water ingress. Inside, we find numerous pockets for those knick-knacks, and the addition of a pelmet to hide the inner's hanging points - nice.
The side window is particularly neat. It has a split mesh/vinyl panel that is backed by a curtain. This has a double zip that allows it to be fully opened, or to cover either the vent or vinyl panel - top marks for versatility. And, I love Crystal Clear window vinyl for that view.
