Where can I see a Nevis 800? I would like tolook at the floor plan.
I have seen a 600 and it is a great tent. What I like about it is that the outer shell is made from honeycomb ripstop, which has obvious benefits over the normal materials.
I am kicking myself for prevaricating over the purchase. They had sold out within a couple of hours. My missus keeps telling me I am too impulsive, so I erred away and kept my credit card in my pocket, I should listen to myself a bit more I reckon!
The price was a very reasonable £250, (reduced from £300). Gaynors want £375. A bit of a difference!
If anyone knows where I can get one of these at a good price please let me know asap.
By the way, my second choice was the Diablo 600 DLX which was up for £235, (reduced from £400). But I was informed by the sales chappy that quite often, depending on which campsite you want to go to, they will charge you for a double pitch if you set this one down. At my favourite in North Wales that means £28 a night with the pooch as against £14. So the cheap break starts getting expensive from the start!
I am still taken by it but I my preference is for the Nevis 600. The pitching time is half that of the Diablo too so if there is a threat of rain I know which I would prefer.
