We have just got back from our first camping trip in our Monty we managed to pitch it in 1 hour (completely done with carpet down and airbeds up) However I had the help of my older daughter who is 17 and taller and stronger than me my younger daughter passed things and put airbeds up !! I would say when you have had a bit of practise you could do it by yourself  with children to hold and pass things if you picked a calm day definately not on a windy day. We use the Yeomans way starting at the back too and folding it back up the Yeomans way works everytime!! Our tent was admired and we were praised for getting it up ' without a man ' !! I did get better pegs though which helped!!

We have just bought a Montana 6 and went camping last weekend.  Couldnt fault it in any way and we have always had new touring caravans but I actually prefer the tent.  We managed to put the tent up in 20 minutes (that me the Mum, a 15 year old girl and 8 year old boy) so if we can do it anyone can.  Looking forward to many more camping trips :)

You won't regret a Monty 6. Ours is 5yrs old and seen a lot of use - officially going into semi retirement after our France trip next week.

Pitching, like most things, gets easier with practice. The yeomans way is the simplest - I now start front first, then back then middle. Always easier with 2 people but with practice very easily accomplished solo.

I would recommend one of the front extensions - I have worked my waythrough all 3 and have to say that the awning is just fab. It has totally transformed our tent.

GS.
