Hi Mimi08, We really liked the Winnipeg & if we could have received a non faulty one would have been really pleased with it.

In answer to your questions

What colour & year is your Kama Polzeath, some of the Kampa tents are blue & I would prefer the beige colours. Never heard of the Kampa range before you mentioned them & they do look lovely ! My Polzeath is 2010, cream with a brown stripe at the bottom.

As you've owned & errected the Royal Winnipeg could you tell me the differences in size between the two & would you say the quality of the fabric & ZIG is as good as the Royal (is yours sewn in or a zip in)?  The Polzeath is definitely longer, but we owned a Sunncamp Vario 600 plus originally & they are a similar length.  We don't really need the extra length, as we keep wardrobe & toilet in the annex.  Also all food & kitchen items are kept in a seperate kitchen tent.  So we mainly have 4 chairs, a table & the dogs bed in the living area. Which is why we originally bought the Winnipeg.

The zig is definitely a lot thinner & totally defferent material, more comparable to the Sunncamp sig, but more than adequate. I think I preferred pitching the Polzeath as it came already zipped on & was one zip all the way round which I didn't remove (It does form the bottom of the large opening doorway).  After manhandling the Winnipeg zig & three zips into position, whilst hubby started pegging, I think its worth the lighter material to pitch as one.  It did float a little with some of the winds we experienced but with with more weight/ objects in the tent this shouldnt be too much of a problem.  I like space not clutter in the main part of the tent

Did you buy the Vestibule as an optional extra? No not sure we would need it, maybe a future purchase, but I did get the carpet & footprint in the deal.  Carpet not as nice as the Winnipeg and as others have said the Polzeath is a missmatch of colours, blue carpet, grey inners, & fluorescent zips everywhere!  Winnipeg is far better colour coordinated.

There are small things I would like to be different on both tents, but overall they are comparable & I like the side annex & require 3 seperate rooms, so there are not many tents which suit my requirements.

I'll check with my husband later as to where we bought ours from & get back to you but if it helps its the same footprint as the Royal Boardaux (if thats how you spell it). When ours arrived it had that written on the packet & when we questioned it they told us it was the same footprint.
