Nice one Tommy, glad to see that you got sorted in the end!

Enjoy it!
Thanks for that , just need to get some time off work to try it ....lol

just compared my new 2011 against my mothers 2010. at first the only signs are the yellow piping around the base of the tent and seems.

I got the carpet using a pricematch at GO and a taup from B&Q for a tenna and it was only 1/2 foot short lengthways.

I'm chuffed to bits with mine but I really want an extension or awning to cook under.

Think ours is the 2011 model (haven't checked yet !) but we just bought the 2010 awning for £139 , doesn't have the yellow piping but who care's

Congratulations Tommy on getting your new Monty

I'm still waiting to try out ours with its new awning, had to cancel our planned getaway at the end of May  and now kids have got exams so weekends away are outers until they are finished ... roll on July.

Thanks Coastal Path , after last years disappointment with the Monty i am sure this time will be great as the awning will give us much more room , we phoned up Blair Athol as we were going totry it out this weekend coming.......but fully booked !!! didn't thinkit would have been that busy just now , we'll see if we can get something else sorted

Can remember reading your review last year so was a little surprised at reading you were getting another

Since our outing last year I've bought an outwell double campbed, I have no idea if it fits as good as my airbed did but I really didn't like sleeping so low to the ground and with my back found getting to my feet harder as the days went on.

Next on my list is to get a floor covering of some sort for in the awning area so that the table and kitchen that I'm planning on using don't damage the groundsheet.

Good luck finding somewhere else to try out your new purchase

To be honest coastal path i was out voted on buying another Monty but the poor review was down to a few niggles and i think the awning will make a massive difference to us , although i am sticking to my original post in that i don't think this is a six man tent , having said that i am looking forward to using it and also getting top quality sleeping bags etc which will help with the chilly nights.

Let me know if you find anything in the carpet dept that fits the awning part of the set up
