Hi many thanks for the info - proves that there is something amiss with the quality control at Outwell.

I myself have tried to find an email address for Outwell but no luck - any chance of you proving it to me.

Just an update to finish. I took my original extension back to the shop and they provided me with a replacement. This time we took our tent along and pitched it and put up the replacement. Just aswell, as that too was to short. The shop sent both back to Outwell along with some photo's and they said they would be in touch. Got a phone call yesterday to say all had been rectified, again pitched our tent, the straps were longer and all is fine.

Simon,

Fully extended the straps are now 4ft 5' or 1.34m. This is plenty to allow some tightening.

I bought mine from PJ Camping, Collier Row, Essex. When I took it back and explained the problem, they were very helpful espicially Donna, who I believe is the manager. If you are in the area worth a look.
