Angie, I'd really prefer to have separate rooms, I know it's a bit useless in a tent but I still prefer it!!!

Richibena, I'm aware of sizes with tents too, on of the sites which are quite close to us and we could get to regularly for the weekend only takes 6 berths maximum, and the other nothing over 6 meter!!!

Hi there all, I am just starting camping again after 35 years and I can see that the equipment is totally different now, better lighter tents. Could anyone tell me what the average price per night, might be for a 5- man tent in say the lakes or yorkshire dales.      Thanks Arroweddie.

Just something to think about your oldest is 9yrs (10yrs? by the time you camp next year)
Our daughter is 12yrs and point blank refused to sleep with us or even on the same side with a divider so we had to buy a new vis a vis tent lol as she wanted her own space. I think if she had a younger sibling she'd have been even more desperate to get away from it.

I am very pleased to announce that I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Icarus 600 with awning, carpet and 2 ground sheets, picked up for the bargain price of £205 on ebay :-). Thanks all for your recommendations, having looked into everything, we decided this was the tent for us.
