I just noticed a question you asked on that thread too, so have answered. No, the flap will only close when the flashing kit is removed. I need to find campsites which allow the stove then I won't have to keep dismantling it. I think the weight might put a strain on the fabric without the stove and flue to hold it up, especially if the tent was being flapped about in the wind, which tends to happen when I go camping! By the way, the spark arrestor which Camping Solutions are now selling can apparently be used to plug the hole, although I haven't tried it yet. Love the lights! I have the chandelier and I do like it but I must admit it's been left behind on the last few trips. I don't have room to take everything in my car.
