As a De Waard addict I can not really help you with advice on the tents you mention. And a new De Waard is not an option for 300 pounds.

Please consider the following... a better tent saves you a lot of worries during your holiday. That is true for the complete camping equipment. Bad equipment can ruin your holiday and even your camping experience...

300 pounds is around 360 euros at todays exchange rate... It may be an option to extent that budget a little a consider buying a second hand De Waard... It is just a thought...

We are in our 4th year of our Kampa Croyde 6 and we are still over the moon with it, lots of space, easy to put up, very good quality. We have looked at lots of tents and if we were replacing it (which we're not) we would buy another one exactly the same. Everyone I know who has Kampa is very pleased with them

We have just ordered a Kampa Filey 6 2012.

We have been considering it since summer when we realised our current tent was woefully lacking comfort and our camping breaks were under threat by a cold, damp and miserable 6yr old (the 4yr old loved it!!).

I have literally obsessed over finding the 'perfect' tent and for us the Filey 6 seemed to tick all the boxes.

Happy searching!!

You could also consider the Gelert Morpheus 6, it gives you the tent & awning for less than your budget and reviews here seem good. The seller has a few bad feedback remarks however my experience with them has been faultless  They sent me the wrong item and sent the correct item before I had even returned the original package! Will leave good feedback on reimbursement of courier cost but definately would recommend them at present and their prices are very good.

We have a similar situation.

Back to camping after a few years out, two children, 4 and 2.

We have seen the Vango Samara 600 and the easy camp Boston 600.

For space they are very similar, the Boston does look cheaper and the reviews say so. Our 4 man tent years ago was vango and it was brilliant.

There are some good deals on tents at the minute too making it harder!

A must for us is sewn in groundsheet and I really like the 'black out' inner tent on the vango. Might mean the kids don't wake at the crack of dawn for once?!!

Good luck
