Hi,
Just thought I would give you an update. Got a pucker original front and side extension en-route thanks to Hankakampa.
I'm all set up and excited, I've just put a new post on asking for good sites suitable for families less than three.
Can't wait :-)

A family less than three? What, like, a couple?

No you're not BB. It's me being a sarcastic sod, 1 BL owner to another

Post pics when you can. We've had ours out of the bag once to check it since we bought it in 2011, so I'd be interested to see yours with the extensions

Well 2 hours later the 2 extensions have been packed into 1 large & heavy box!

I'm exhausted! My living room resembles a scene from blue peter with cardboard, scissors, sticky tape. No washing up bottles or egg boxes though!

To get the 2 extensions into the one box of a size that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get to you by the weekend ...

What ive done is this:-

The front extension is in 2 bags inside the box. 1 bag contains the poles and pegs. The other bag contains the canvas.

The side extension has a smaller pole bag in the box. It is identified by a piece of ( polycotton which matches the tent! ) fabric tied around it to identify it as the front extension poles.

The canvas of the front extension is folded carefully on top of the other bags and the bag which you will use to store/transport it is within the folded canvas.

It's taken me hours of folding / unfolding, packing, repacking to make it all fit lol.

I feel like I've been camping and back in 1 evening!

Hopefully the courier ( parcel force 24 am ) will collect early tmrw.

I'm sure you ll be very pleased with it and the enormous extra space it will give you.

Here's my handywork for this eve :-

Just as a matter or interest I saw this unusual combination on eBay of someone ( anyone on here? ) keeping the front canopy on ( its actually supposed to be removed when the awning is fitted ) and then fitting the front extension into the canopy.

In calm conditions this might create an enormous covered area, but in windy conditions is could create a wind tunnel ... Besides which, you would probably have to pay for 2 pitches for this :-

Notice they have used the incorrect pole for the centre pole of the extension. It's not supposed to be used like this!

Oh btw - I forgot to mention, I fitted ( as I do all my tents & extensions ) clam cleat line loks to the guy lines!

I'd forgot about those - wayyyyyyy better than the outwell slider adjusters that come as standard - so now you ll need to tell your missus that you need to upgrade the sliders on your tent now!

Or you could sell your tent and still buy mine - although I won't be able to get it to you for this weekend - am too exhausted after packing that ^ ^ ^ lots up tonight!

Morning,
That's sounded like a mission to get packed up. I'll be spending time on the Internet looking for tips on the easiest way to pitch next.

Weather is starting to look a bit better!
