Hi Shaun,

love the pole end idea. It is a very physical tent to use so any tip that makes it easier is welcome. We tried the water technique last bank holiday and it worked really well.

On a related issue, once the pole is in the sleeves there is a lot of movement - being attached to the tent by one seam. The poles could sit in a variety of positions in relation to the seam IE: left or right or on the seam. Does anyone have any advice on the best position? (particularly for the partition wall pole).

Hi Shaun,

I know this is an old post from you regarding your Yosemite Falls. I purchased a new Yellowstone Falls last year and as everyone says the poles are a bit of a nightmare!

I've tried two broom ends, both of which have been too small to go over the poles. Can you remember where your purchased your broom from? Also, did you need to make any adjustments to the broom end or does it just simply slide over the pole end?

If you are able to offer any help that would be great.

Many thanks,

Simon

Seems a good idea and I used to curse my old tents with full sleeves before I changed to metal poles. A problem may arise if the broom handle falls off in the middle of the sleeve and you can't get it out again

Hi Bob,

Yes that could well be a problem! Like I mentioned above, I still haven't tracked down a suitable broom handle end yet. The one I have found (in B&Q) is glued on!!

Hopefully someone might be able to point me in the right direction soon!
