Please please please just type into YouTube "Outwell Nevada m pitching video" and look for the fat bloke in a grey T shirt outside his shop.
If you have any glass fibre poled tunnel tent this method is better than any other. Sorry but it is...
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Yeah Ive used this method on a nevada m and other ground sheet integrated tents.
But in strong winds would you suggest we pitch a tent like the cleaveland 5 in bad weather with the front door open (like a wind sock) doing a pole at a time ? sorry mate I know you know your stuff but I have to say no…
Ive owned a m slept in in it, loved it and sold it on and its easy to pitch fully sewn in ground sheet ect but the Cleveland is a bit different its like the outwell site uses the Nevada l as a pitching video. Why ? the front end of a Cleveland is totally different with the bath tub insert ect. This area acts like a kite.
Self pitch a Cleveland 5 with a strong front end wind, video it then post that im sure (I know) it will look different to the Nevada m pitch video which as you know is a smaller tent..
Not trying to argue with you but as a user of both tents they both react different in bad weather conditions
Hi
Ideally in strong winds you don't pitch either tent but if needs must yes same system but peg the Cleveland out with all the doors shut then if it is windy just unzip the main door zips while its pegged, this will allow just enough air in. Then erect the first pole, roughly guy out that pole but don't pull to tight then zip the doors shut and adjust the guys. Then work your way back using the guys as you go if its windy.
Cheers.
