Are you still torn between the pyramid and the bell tent? Would it help if you had a potential buyer wanting to take the pyramid off your hands? :)
The reason I ask is that we are currently trying to decide between a pyramid and a bell tent too. We don't have either at the moment so I am looking at second hand pyramids to buy first, then we can buy a bell tent if we decide it's not for us.
Your tent is lovely and just what we are looking for so we would be very interested if you were interested in selling.
Ohh it's such a hard decision. Part of me thinks I should sell both the bell and the secondhand pyramid and get a Palamos or Alaska! But I think I would be divorced and I'm not sure I want to pay full price for a newer pyramid when we have a perfectly good one already! I'm definitely sold on pyramids but my husband still likes the bell (he's not the one who has to cook outside!)
I've already bought a few bits for the pyramid - a new groundsheet, rain cowls, guylines and a carpet.
What are you thinking at the moment when it comes to a decision between the two? It sounds like you're in a similar boat to us...
Are you based down South as we are thinking of putting both tents up and doing a comparison. You could come along!!

Our pyramid arrived at the weekend and we got it half pitched in the garden. Whilst it's not as amazing to look at it's much more practical for us
Luckily we both agree the way forward for us is the Pyramid tent and so we are selling our 5m bell tent (although I'm not yet convinced I can pitch the pyramid on my own).
I think that's what's making me indecisive Tynxuk - it's aesthetics (bell) or practicality (pyramid)!! Surprisingly I'm erring on the practical side and husband likes the comforts of the shiny new bell. Although Jayners pics of her Alaska all styled up looked amazing. You've bought the Palamos haven't you?
We are torn because of the aesthetics but I think we are both thinking a pyramid would be better in terms of having a porch, canopy etc. A bell is lovely but it's an awkward space and doesn't really work so well for the type of campers we are!
We have the money to buy an Alaska or a 5m bell saved up but I'm thinking if I can get one second hand that will cement my decision on either before I go spending huge sums...
We are in Norfolk so a bit too far just to come and look at them both but near enough we could come and collect if we were to buy one from you, if that makes sense :)

Tynx, I am a bit of a foodie so I love cooking and camping is another excuse to cook a lot of things we don't do at home. Bell tent and cooking doesn't seem to go so well together!
The easiest way to contact people on here is to put a for sale in the classifieds section and get the other party to use that to email you (view profile and classified adverts are listed).
Kevin I personally don't like cooking in the tent we sleep in (lingering smells) even when we had a trailer tent we had a separate tent. We have a drive away awning that we use as a kitchen/diner and will continue to with the pyramid unless we are promised absolutely perfect weather.

I am putting my Relum Izmir delux on Ebay next week, I will pop back in and let people know the sale number.
Mine is the lilac and cream version with porch, I have converted the two lityle bedrooms into one spacious room, but it would be easy to put it back
Hi we’ve found our old yellow and turquoise relic Izmir tent but we’ve lost all the poles ! Does anyone know the length of these poles please so we can replace them? There is one tall central pole and 2 side poles which make the door section with a short piece to hold them together , can anyone help please ??
Many thanks , Rosie
