Francais,
Just promise me, when you have your £5k's worth, not only to post loads of pics... but invite me to the grand opening/guided tour!!

Personally, I think we can kit ourselves with everything we want for a "mere" €3949 (c. £3250?)... plus pump(s)!!

... not that I've got to the stage of adding it all up yet, you understand... sheer guesswork!!

Yep Mucker even though I have promised myself a caravan in 6 years time when I hit 60, there is no knowing that I may change my mind and stick with camping.

If that was to happen, then maybe, just maybe a Karsten could be an option.

Problem is I do get confused with what goes with what, the 380 seems to be great for the main pod, although from what I can tell you can not have say a 300 linked to it.

But you can have the 350 and link a 300 to that as a sleeping POD.

But there again you can have the Sleeping Extension, which is a cheaper option, but not available on the 380.

Anyway I need to have a think again about the whole Karsten thing, I like the idea of doing overnights and using the smaller Karsten on it's own just for that.

One thing is for sure, if I do go down the Karsten route I will be investing in a new Trailer with more capacity, and currently covet the Anssems GTB 750-211 VT2 so that will add another £2,500 to proceedings.

According to James, at the show "You wouldn't want a 380"!! The tubes are a bigger diameter, and the spec shows they take twice as long as the 350 to pump up. (25mins as opposed to 13min). At 44kg, not particularly easy to lob in the car, either! Aimed more at the rent-a-tent market, than us mere mortals, it seems. It's on the spec sheets, and price lists, so I presume it's not out of the question to get one, but initial enquiries seem to suggest it's best to treat the 350 as the biggest "realistic" and practical option.

Went there thinking 380, came back "measuring up" for a 350!

Yep Mucker.

That's the impression I got a few years back when I spoke with James at one of the Cheshire shows.

It seems that you are limited what can be added to the 380, where as the 350 will take all options.

My thinking at the time, was that my Cabanon was 370 wide, so the nearest Karsten would be 380, but of course it does not work like that with a Karsten.

You almost have to throw the rule book out and start again.

So if my future Plan (more like dream) does not come to fruition, then I have Karsten and Anssems as my Plan B.
