I must say I am leaning towards the Coleman Sahara because of the single room and we were going to buy a coleman when we got our sunncamp but the man we got out tent from ended up putting us off colemans - something about them becoming like a soggy carrier bag after a night's sleep (????).

That is total balderdash.  The Coleman Sahara is double skinned and does not suffer from condensation in any way.  It also has bathtub groundsheets.  It's an extremely high quality tent.

I'd highly recommend the Wynnster Mercury 9 myself as we love ours. It has two double bedrooms that you wouldn't need to use at first but will come in handy eventually when the little 'un gets bigger and a great sized other bedroom that sleeps 5, which you could all sleep in. The living area is really generous and if you're not putting in the other two bedrooms it'll be even more impressive. I hope you'll be happy with whatever you decide to go for and happy camping!
