wow, what a friendly and informative bunch you all are! I didn't realise I'd get so many replies. Many thanks everyone for your input, now its just down to hubby and I to decide between ourselves!!
We have the SV8 and absolutely love it - tons of space - yes it moves in the wind but doesn't fall down as other tents did when we used at the beginning of July.

Camping for Kiting - if only I was fit enough!
We have the SunValley 6 and after a recent camping trip pitched on top of an outcrop with 360 deg seaview and accompanying wind in Sardinia - great windsurfing location! I can definately vouch for its ability to stand up to strong winds and gusting. I can say it probably looks less rigid than the Montana in wind but we had absolutely no problem at all with wind all day for 7 days dying down each evening when teh sun went down.....
I would base your decision on the need for fully sewn in groundsheet option and possible need for purchase of an additional porch (Montana) or large integrated porch (SunValley). The only downside to the SV porch in wet weather the front opening door to canopy does not have side panels meaning the rain comes in if its open. Looking at a pic of the front doorway up should make sense?!
Happy decision making!

I just had a rather worrying phone conversation with Mitchells camping ,I rang to see if they had the Sun valley 8 in stock ," Yes we have 10 in stock at the moment " she said "just let me go and check becasue the system is sometimes a bit dicky"
She comes back to inform me that all 10 are returns!!! ,what can be going so badly worng with them ,that 10 have been returned to one camping store????
