One more thing, with small kids and a baby you are probably going to want to get some form of electric coolbox/fridge - these can take up considerable space. so think about one these and a large tent to transport. A top box will efiantely be required!

we've got 2 young kids, and have a Vango Vista 800.  There can be upto 3 bedrooms (plus the main can be split with a divider sheet as well).  We used it last year with travel cot, and could still fit the pushchairs in as well.

As for cars - we have an Avensis estate and had to get a top box to get everything in.
