No reputable tent manufaturer makes a tent now well for the last 2 years without a sewn in ground sheet..
Shame about the lack of choice :(
Luckily Quechua still provide an option :)

It depends how low and whether there are mud flaps on the tent
The cabanon fits to the gorund totally and has mud flaps inside, so you can get a pretty good seal
Also the bell tent tucks in nicely, no gaps at al
Saying that I find it easier and quicker to get the shape of a SIG tent pitched

Had both but love the Sig. Especially if it is raining kids can lie around on living area floor doing their colouring or board games.

Think we have the best of both worlds with this, we have an Outwell Yukon River 6 and like most newer models of outwell now we have a zip in groundsheet, so the choice is have it or not, my preference is having it in, after the last few years of really bad rain, nothing gets wet in the tent, whereas previously we have had rivers running through the tent with no groundsheet, and trying to keep everything off the ground. But whatever your choice enjoy it!

My last tent, (Columbia "Gardner Peak") had a SIG because the rainfly, (flysheet), only came down about 1/3 of the way. We only camp in two locations a year for a week each, (Sturgis, South Dakota-Harley Rally and EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin). So last year a small helicopter flew too close to our tent and squashed it! Broke the fiberglass poles and ripped part of the tent. Luckily it was the last day of the convention, so we tossed it in the trash on the way home. So now I'm looking for a better tent. That's how I got here by looking for reviews. I must say you Europeans have some serious tents. I wish they were easily available here in the states, especially since so many are named after our states, etc. I don't know why it costs so much to ship to USA, when it costs 50% less to ship it back. Anyway, we want a vis-a-vis style with a SIG as we usually have another couple with us. 90f to 100f Heat, 80%+ humidity, dust and some thunderstorms, are what we deal with when camping in July and August. The only condensation problem we have is on the outside as we run a 10,000 btu A/C unit into the tent. (My girlfriend has been in her own "personal summer" for the last ten years if you know what I mean.) We are looking at Outwells, Vangos, Gelerts and Kampas. Not too many vis-a-vis styles. I guess we are "glamping" as we have on-site electricity for the fridge, microwave, a/c, lights, computer, etc. We also have hot showers, real bathrooms, WiFi, a 3 story inflatable movie screen and food and beer tents nearby. The only reason we don't get a hotel room or rent a house or RV(caravan) nearby is that they are all booked solid for years in advance for 75 miles around and the prices are $250US a night and up! Besides, there is nothing like camping with 60,000 of your friends!

I ordered a zipped in groundsheet bell tent from Canvas & Cast last year. Due to delivery problems they couldn't supply on agreed date so they loaned me a loose groundsheet version till my ZIG arrived. The ZIG then arrived but due to a mis labelling problem it wasnt a ZIG but a sewn in groundsheet one instead.
I wanted a ZIG to have the best of both worlds, however I struck a deal with C & C and kept the SIG tent. I prefer it to the loose groundsheet tent as it offers better weather resistance and there is still plenty of ventilation to be had by opening doors and the wall ventilation windows. SIG is also better to erect in the rain as everything inside stays nice and dry. We are fortunate though that we have a garage big enough to hang tent from rafters to dry it out when needed.

for years we had separate groundsheet until a near gale ran through at hunstanton. bought a sewn in groundsheet tent and the difference was amazing. strong suggestion though. for easy cleaning and in case of ripping or spilage accidents etc, go to somewhere like aldi and get a cheep tarpaulin to cover the floor..
