I wouldn't want to convert anyone. Although I think the Pescara has the slight edge, you still cannot take away from Outwell the original design. Royal had the chance to learn from the things that didn't quite work so they cheated in a way. Outwell did all the hard work and Royal just coped it and added a couple of things to make it their own. I am sure that there will be improvements/changes in the Nebraska in the very near future. I still, personaly, prefer the colour of the Nebraska and being a lifelong Outwell fan it was difficult for me to change to another brand.
There were some additional photos that got edited out the review ( cable point entries, bedroom pods etc ). If anyone wants these then just ask.
I've just read your review of the Pescara 8 and would like to know if the bedrooms are like the Nebraska. Are they already connected to the inside of the tent when it is pitched? I really like the Outwell Nebraska, but the amount of people that I have seen that have had problems with leaks has put me off.
If you have any more pictures of the Pescara, can you send them to me (mwalke36 at gmail.com).
When the Pescara is first delivered, the bedroom pods are NOT installed as is the groundsheet. When you pitch the tent for the very first time you will have to install the groundsheet and the bedroom pods. After that, you can pack the tent away with it all still in so the next time you pitch it is exactly like the Nebraska.
So the first pitching takes a little longer than subsequent ones.
If you like the Nebraska, you will love the Pescara.

I'll second that! The Pescara is a great tent and while I'm here Steve you need to change your profile cos you still have your Nebraska XL on it instead of your much loved Pescara!!
We didn't have much information on the 2007 model. When I last looked, the 2007 model still wasn't in their current catalogue so I assume it will be a while before we hear anything about the 2008 model.
Yes, I must change my profile.

Had 19 days in the royal pescara 8 , 6 of those days were heavy rain. no leaks but some of our cooking gear rubbed up against the walls in the porch and we have 3 holes that need mending. no repair kit with the tent tho. apart from that brilliant tent. p.s. did,nt put the ropes out coz it was solid . well done royal .
Just to add to Langleys comments...our Pescara has the SIG not the zipped in groundsheet so you obviously get both. Again I think it's a fab tent and will be the best we've had so far for weeks away. We're now looking at the Royal Bordeaux for next years new weekend tent!

I'm not a complete idiot...some bits are missing.
Yes, one of the criticisms that I had that I forgot to put in the review was the fact that it did not come with any repair kit. Not too much of a problem as they are available from any camping shop, but it would have been nice to have some seal sealant and maybe a small amount of tent fabric. But, considering I paid £100 less for this tent than I did for my Nebraska I was not too concerned that it did not come with a repair kit.
Since buying this tent I have also purchased a Royal Denver 4 for short stays. I probably wont do a review of it, but I am not as overjoyed with it as I was with the Pescara.
