We bought an Outwell Hartford XL a couple of years ago. We did have teething problems with the inner and the zips and the dealer gave us a new replacement inner. Other than that a good quality tent that has kept us warm and dry on a few very wet camping trips. Not the easiest or quickest tents to put up..porch too small and bedpods too low, so I am considering a different tent for the future because of this.
we bought a '07 hartford L, so far very pleased with it. Loads of room for the 2 of us. away again this weekend, so will probably find out whether it leaks or not as its forcast rain the majority of the weekend

We have just received our Nebraska XXL that we ordered back in March. Have I made a huge mistake? I thought outwell were a good make. I don't even think I can have a trail run in the garden with it. Garden is too small. Plus we are due to go away for a week at the end of May.
HELP !!!!

they are a good make, but I think that they have flooded the market and if just 2% of them are faulty, that will b a lot of tents...and more people will post negs than possys on here...I aint tested mine yet either tho..
I have had Outwells for years and never had a problem. That was until last season. Since last season ( i.e. 14 months ago ), I have had to return 4 Outwell tents.
2 x Nebraska XL 1 x Montana 12 1 x Vermont L
They are a good make in general but obviously in the ladt couple of years they have changed where these are made. I think they have gone to the cheapest bidder and have suffered quality problems as a result.
i had a problem wit a tent leaking at the bed pod hanger(not an outwell) i just sprayed it with fabsil and it stopped leaking. i suppose you could get away with doing this if you wish to return the tent as seam seal is very noticeable and fabsil isnt. i realise this also depends on the bad stitching cos a squirt isnt going to fix it, but it may just tide you over if its a little leak and you can enjoy the rest of your stay

we bought a 2005 hartford l intending it just for the 2 of us. however we have all been away in it a number of times ( 2 adults, 2 children + dog in front porch) and had no problems at all. was a little on the 'cosy' side for a week with all of us though. added the extra front canopy last year and it made a big difference.
fantastic tent, no problems at all ( and we've had really lousy weather at times ), we love it!
just to add, thought we would get a bigger one for all 4 of us and had considered a nabraska xl. having read reviews, might wait for a bit until I read reviews of the 2007 version, as 2006 one seems to have had its share of problems!
I bought one very recently but haven't had chance to put it up yet...getting worried about the comments I'm reading about Outwell tents in general. I thought they had a good reputation though I suppose you're bound to get bad ones from time to time.
We have a 2005 Montana 6 and love it to bits. Not had any problems with it, it has stood up to french thunderstorms complete with golf ball sized ice so what more can you ask for?
