We have just paid £326 for ours at a camping exhibition in Wokingham, Berks.  This show is on for the whole of July with loads of tents and trailers erected to see outside delivery of ours was within a week.

We were really impressed by the size of the tent as we have upgraded from a Gelert Curlaway but felt that the seperate living area was needed for 2 adults a 15 year old and 2 Westies that love camping.

Thanks for the guidance from your blogs can someone helps us put it up now.

We are going to do a few dry runs in our garden as we do not want to look like newbies all over again.

Can't wait for our trips in August.17

Hi. We've got a Bordeaux 6 we purchased from Great Outdoors last year for £300, fantastic tent for family use as you can easily live in it whatever the weather.

Our last tent was a Vango TBS Vista 600DLX, lovely tent, but when the great british weather empties it's self and the ground can take no more, the lack of a sewn in groundsheet in the living area made it uncomfortable, and as the windows all have roll up exterior curtains, you have to keep them closed or they just fill up with rain!

We went for the Bordeaux 6 because of the large dry living area and the sheer brightness, with all the windows and skylights its really bright even when it's pouring down, and the virtical walls and high roof make it very spacious. It's quite easy to erect with a little practice with 2 people but it is very heavy. We did have a problem with the first one, one of the pole sleeves on the roof started to come away from the main tent, it looked as if it had just not been caught properly when being sewn together, but when we tookit up with the shop, they spoke to Royal, and they agreed to swap it and sent another one out. We even got an upgrade as they sent out a ZG, and we originally purchased an SG!

It's easy to live in, we've just been away again in ours and it is perfect for our needs (2 adults and 2 little girls) and everyone who visits comments on how good it is. I would reccomend buying the ZG version as its easier to erect, and to clean afterwards.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the ZG and SG, and the footprint size of either please? Thanks x

The only difference between the ZG and SG versions is that one has a Zipped-in Groundsheet (hence ZG) and the other a Sewn-in Groundsheet (SG). They are otherwise exactly the same.

Update: It would seem that the steel poles have a very weak spot at the shoulders, if you're putting your tent up and its windy you have to be very careful. The tent's now well out of warranty but we had several poles replaced under the warranty and then got a whole spare set just before the warranty expired. We also had the tent replaced where a gust of wind caught it and tore one of the seams that hadn't been stitched properly. Royal (or rather the importers) weren't interested in helping out but thankfully the retailer was really helpful.Update:
