Where the extension meets the tent and doesn't quite fit because of the fibre pole I am surprised with your ability that you didn't make a hole or a slit to accommodate the pole and make the extension fit flush with the tent...or was that not possible?

I am in the process of doing just that :-) I have bought some large plastic eyelets that clip together (tarp eyelets), which are big enough for the poles to slip through. As soon as the weather is nicer I will pitch the tent and extension in the garden and work out exactly where to put them. I will post here if it works. I do love this tent and extension, it is perfect for short breaks for the two of us, which is why I have gone to so much trouble to try and improve it.

Looks good. The eyelets sound a good idea. I camp solo so there is plenty of room for me in the Carolina without an extension, although it seems to be filling up quickly as I buy different things. The extension obviously adds quite a bit more room especially for cooking etc.
