Not quite a tarp but a frame tent canopy (cabanon rialto) used with just the three king poles it came with

Hi Mucker its just the tarps elasticated edge sits neatly over the tents porch pole.I then added a guy line with a clingon that went all the way over the tent for that little added security. Was quite impressed with it actually Matches the tent perfect. taking it back to Lady Heyes this weekend theres an event weekend on encouraging everyone to fly a flag or windsock ..............just realized the flag matches the colour scheme too sad aint it

Hi DK, Looks great! :-)
I started off with the lower front corners, as it was blowy, and it just "seemed" more sensible to have the corners lower. When the wind dropped a little, I raised the corners, having the "gulley" in the centre. Looked and felt good, tbh. More open, it seems!
When the wind picked up further, and succumbed to the need for a windbreak, I connected the centre (of the tarp) to the windbreak pole, keeping the front corners slightly higher.
All in all, I was fiddling about with it on and off all weekend. At one point (last pic) I even "had" to add a line to the intermediate attachment point, between centre and corner!
But yes, I reckon I could get used to your high corners/lower centre design.
PS:
When asked what her thoughts on the subject were, Muckerette said something along the lines of "For God's sake man, will you just sit down and leave the poor thing alone"!!

Many thanks for the ideas. We are thinking of a tarp to give some rain cover outside our old motorhome (partly tied onto the roof bars). It might plug the gap between a bulky awning with lots of pegs and poles that takes an hour to de-rig every morning when you move on, and the current golf umbrella. And cheaper than fixing a wind-out canopy. But few people name their tarp's brand, like they name their tent, and so comparison of anything except the price / size ratio is difficult.

I got mine in Field and Trek two years ago and it was a tenner.
I don't think it's available any more.
Many use a tarp from Decathlon which is rectangular and larger than the one I have. Another great brand is DD Tarps, which come in different sizes and start about £35
Then many people make their own tarp too!
