Kyham longleat, footprint and carpet here! Just about big enough for the two of us....swear it's completely storm proof! Had it for two years and managing to get it packed away smaller each time. Could fit car (Peugeot), other tent and about 7 people in it with ease I reckon but won't trade it in till it falls apart now.

We use the sun Porch (one with the zip off front). We don't use it with an Ontario, but it's designed for tunnel tenst so presumably would fit it ok.

Moslty we use ours for inlement weather coooking, for a sheltered area in front of the door and sometimes for dumping wet stuff.

We don't always ahve the door panel on, but it is useful in bad weather.

Can all you Ontario 8 owners let me know which porches you have? We are looking for one and want to know which was the best value :)
I bought the Kampa sun porch off eBay as it was much cheaper than the "proper" Khyam one. Fits perfectly and does the job!!

Khyam Ontario 8, footprint and carpet. Need to buy the sun porch or sun awning, I can't decide which. I love it,

We also have an old XXL rigidome that I keep meaning to sell. I'm the one who packs the car and it was too heavy for me to drag about.

We also have a a Khyam Santiago, which was our family weekend tent. They don't make them anymore but it's a basic viz-a-viz 4 berth tent. I can put it up single handed, which is handy if I arrive at a campsite before my husband on a Friday night,

I was going to replace it next year for various reasons. Then I saw a Hi Gear Gobi 4 on offer for £59 It's not a perfect replacement but hey ho. I'm taking it to my parents place in France, in case visitors want to go camping for a couple of days, so hopefully it'll still be used.

One thing I've found with all our Khyam tents is that the berth sizes really are accurate and generous. I don't feel

we've got the indiania like TracyD which is the fore runner to the Ontario but no SIG, plus the harvard de lux, which has been renamed to something I cant remember ( vancouver I think)

Indiania ok, but have never really felt hapy in the Harvard not sure why?? but it was made worse with the last holiday and bad winds and the pole snapped. So currently looking for new weekend tent

I have a freelander for when I am at cub camp or just out with my son, a XL excelsior when out with my 2 kids and a ridgi-pod classic with 3 pods when we go out as a family.

Had a small Kyham to start with, forget the name but it was a bit smaller than the Igloo, then a Mackenzie, then a Tourer 200. All beautiful tents and well used.

Now I use a Cabanon Noumea but am seroiusly considering a Freelander.

I managed to rip my Excelsior XL slightly while pitching in very high wind yesterday at one of the tent to pole attachment points. Good job it has taped seals on the inside!
