Hi Busterdan
One of our guylines was also frayed but I can easily replace it. My hubby is concerned about pitching in high winds. As this is our overnight tent I would not go away if bad weather was predicted. We are going away again weekend 1 - 3rd July and we are going to take the EHU - live 8 and the Wimbledon final.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
I bought one of the 6 man Adventuridge tents from Aldi last year (see my gallery photos) and I am more than happy with it.
It has seen us through a few trips in all kinds of weather and for value for money, it cant be faulted.
Of course it cant compete against the 'name' brands (we are investing in a Gelert Quebec for next year), but if you are looking for something as a 'stsrter' that will fit the bill at a price that cant be matched for what you are getting, then I suggest that you buy one of these.
Sorry to read you were made redundant. The same thing happened to me earlier this year too.
However on a brighter note, I have the same tent (see gallery photos) and have enjoyed using it on a number of trips with no problems, so when you get yourself sorted on the employment side, go and make good use of your tent.
Its OK...no big deal...just move on... I started a contract though and wasn't getting paid for time off, hence why I never took a week out as had planned.
Should be doing a biker camping weekend in August so that will probably be the first use of the tent except for the overnighter in the garden last year :)
