Just to let you know, we've used the Universal side canopy from Outwell on the front and side of our SV8, also use it on the Sunncamp EVO 600 DL..  not that difficult really it would most tunnel shaped tents - and even our weird shaped Evo.  I'm pretty sure I swppped the bad 2 guys to 4 metres ones though and just take it down the side.  i think it hooks into the pin near the side door entrance.

hlk01 - so you've fitted the universal side canopy even though its only 340cm wide but the width of the SV8 is apparently 405cm - how are the extra 60cm accounted for?

Hard to explain but here goes - the front panels of the tent are still in place and the canopy is wider than the door area, so basically it extends the tent but not at full width.  I'll try and see if we have a pic somewhere but I'm not sure if we do.  Oh Pete beat me too it LOL.  Yes thats exactly how we do it.
