Aw, Pete, I'm really sorry to hear you don't like the Guadeloupe.

I suppose it just goes to show that, camping ideals are entirely subjective and you have to find out what works for you (and some of us find out the hard way; by buying them!)

(Pity you didn't go for the slightly bigger Barbados, I'd have bought that from you like a shot!  )

Oh Pete, sorry to hear that you didn't get on with the Guadeloupe! You're not having a good start to the camping year are you?

What was the problem - the size of the bedroom or the living area or both? Or didn't you like the feel of being in  a canvas tent <- hard to imagine but possible I guess! Can't think that it was a problem with the way the tent goes up or down. MT

Loved the quality of the tent MT and the pitching etc.  The wife is even being converted to Canvas!!!!!

We were up in the Lake District over Easter and it was damn cold at night, got up saturday morning to find the Cars, Grass and Tents had all turned white with the frost!!!!. My friend has the Outwell Monty 6 and as the frost started to melt he had a condensation waterfall from the roof inside the living area!!!!.......... we had no such issue in a canvas tent.

The problem, for us, was both the size of the living area and bedrooms, we just couldn't get used to it after having larger tents. I really can't knock the tent for it's quality and ease of pitch, it's a superb tent........ but, sadly, just not for us.
