Hello all

Well we went camping last year & i was sort of glad to be home but again this year i find myself being draged back into the camping scene again.

We brought a outwell Hartford XL last year but sold it when we came back because it was not for us, just a couple of things we did not like about it, can not stand in bedrooms, found it got very hot inside when sun was on it & found because it is light in colour the kids woke really early like 5am so i was shattered also found it hard to erect (me & dp ended up bickering, which ended in me siting on the grass & leaving him to do it) ha ha

So now we want to try again, we have all equipment because we spent a fortune buying all the new things last yr & have kept them (thank god)

Anyway we like the tunnel tents because they look more simple to put up & also because they look like you can stand in all rooms, we also want a SIG & lots of space because we have 2 very active children of 4 yrs & 15 months old, we also might have step-son with us who is 9 yrs old, would like an outside canopy to do cooking under oh & maybe darker in colour so the kids dont get up at silly o'clock in the morning!

Don't want to spend to much, also want it to be easy to put up so we can do weekend camping is well in the summer.

Sounds like a mission but is there a tent out there with what we want?

I have tried to look & the ones i can see so far are the outwell indiana 6, Outwell montana 6, Vango brackenridge 6 & the Aztec galeria 6 (this is my fav along with the montana 6)

We would like a 6+ size but don't want the tent to be too huge.

So what is everyones thoughts can someone please help, this tent shopping is harder than shoe shopping & that is coming from a women

How about a Monty 6 or 12?  We have a 6 and there are just the two of us but it is dead easy to erect and you can stand up in it all over.

Hi Kim & Steve

We have just bought a new tunnel tent, Sunncamp Haven 800 2007 model. 8 Berth with 3 bedrooms or 4 if u use a divider for the large 3rd bedroom. U can stand up in all the rooms. Has a sewn in groundsheet and large living area and fairly dark blue canvas. £325 not very cheap but ticks all your boxes. U can also buy a canopy to attach to the door for a cooking area.

Hope you give camping another go, it really is great fun.

Can't wait to try ours out!
