Hi All, new to site so hope asking a question which has been asked a thousand times before .
We're looking for a family tent for use a couple of times a year, in hopefully fairly temperate conditions. We have two small children but may expand on this if we are temporarily lobotomised at some point in the future. I'd like a tunnel tent as think they may be easier to erect (?) and also like the idea of children sleeping close to us. Also would like quite a large tent as have only just convinced my husband of the potential joys of camping and think a too small tent may out him off.
I really like the look of the Peakland Alport from Yeomans for £190. The guy in Yeomans was really promoting this tent and said that it was made by Outwell, so was same quality anyway. The other tent I like the look of is the Outwell Montana 6 tunnel tent which is £330. We want to get the best one, but knowing nothing about tents, we're not sure why the Outwell is better than the Peakland. If it's the basic quality and durability then would prefer the expense, but if it's all mod cons like light holder and storage pockets would be happy to spend less.
If anyone has any ideas of a better tent than either of these, would be very grateful for any info.
Many Thanks,
Susie
