We have these two down to the shortlist. I realise that the Vango 2007 model isn't out yet, but i'd appreciate any thoughts people might have regarding these.
At the moment i'm leaning slightly toward the Vango, as it gives more living space, and probably head height..
However, one question i have is about ventilation - it seems to me that with the 3 doors all with meshes, the Outwell may be easier to ventilate and keep cool - any Vango users (i think the 2006 is the same as the 2007 in this respect care to comment?
Any downsides i should look for?
thanks!

The 2006 Vail does not have a SIG, so maybe not easy to get ventilation comparisons just yet, until 2007 Vail owners have had chance to use their new tents?
We moved from a nebraska to SV8, one of the big reasons was the weight. We just found the nebraska too heavy with it's steel poles. Does the vail have steel poles? If so the weight may or may not be something you are bothered about just thought I'd raise it incase you'd not thought of it.

we were tempted by the vango but then we saw the sv8,which also gives a large ammount of living space we took out the 2 berth inner and with the sig and zipped up middle section keeps it quite snug, unzip the large front door giving a large canopy the front porch area ideal for indoor breakfast on a fresh welsh morning or late evening bbq.all the windows and doors have the mesh fitted so can leave open without the bees and wasps invading while you are out and about
