We are looking at that tent next, bit much for this year (still a student- albeit VERY mature LOL) but hoping in a year or two.  Really liked the internal layout.

Took our Norfolk Lake also on it's maiden trip to C&CC site at Woverley at Easter.

First time pitching I was still tweeking with the pegs 5 hours later - but that's just me.  Really love this tent - a real feeling of space and love the large porch.  Ideal for watching the world go by whilst eating breakfast.

Just a shame the carpet wasn't available until after Easter.

We love our Norfolk lake and we are trying the side canopy on the front of it the next bank holiday weekend.  See my pictures for trial pitch in our garden.  Also bought the fitted carpet.  Decided against the footprint as the ground sheet is really tough and it unzips which  makes it easy for washing.

Hi everybody

Am writing this from in bed in our new Norflk Lake which was delivered on Wednesday!  (Kids (5&3) )were desperate to try it out so someone's got to keep them company!) Wife though is tucked up inside in the warm!

The tent went up pretty easily and looks good, although it did take a couple of hours - it was virtually dark by the tine I finished - have never pitched anything bigger than a 3 man dome so it was a new experience!

Thoughts on the tent as follows :

- fantastic feel to the tent - quality throughout, although a few loose/ragged threads on seams here and there

- huge living area - verging on too big for the four of us

- useful porch, although can see how the front door will be a problem in heavy rain.

- I'm not too sure how to best pitch in the wet - anybody know if it's possible to pitch ontop of the groundsheet and then get the groundsheet out from under the webbing straps and then zip in?  Otherwise I can't see how the inside of the fly won't get wet/muddy if pitching straight from the ground - I don't really want to get a footprint as well.

- would like to be able to close the vent at the rear of the inner - cold air is currently falling thorugh the the vent - it's quite chilly here tonight!

- another question fot those in the know - do you peg doen the storm flaps round the front of the tent? there are little tags, but it seems almost unnecessary!

That's it for now - may post more tomorrow!

Tim

Calin,

Didn't look in detail, but I did notive it says EHU and has the plug symbol by the botton of the right hand door (as you look from the front of the tent) - not sure if there's also one on the otherside and I'm not sure if it's just the gap where the groundsheet zips meet, or if there's actually a zip in the fly - I'll have a look in the morning.

Tim

The EHU symbol by the door marks the point in the ZIG where one zip starts and another finishes.  You can feed the EHU cable into the tent at this point.
