We've just got back from our first trip in our Ontario 8, to the C&CC site at Cheddar (excellent site btw- heartily recommend).  we were generally very pleased- a few minor gripes (the stitching on the inner pockets was a bit hit and miss, and it was very hard to get back into its bag first time, although OH ahs sussed this now2).  For the money though, and overall flexibility- next time instead of using all the pods we are going to use the divider in the 4 man, let the kids have that, have a 2 man ourse3lves and leave out the other as its a great storage area- its really rather good.  OH in particular was very pleased with its performance, in particular the fact he could take it down alone as I was child referre-ing!   LOL.

We also got the carpet (only place you can get one is outdoor megastore, its an Outwell but fits perfectly- look at their Ontario page for the link) which was fab, especially for early season camping when it was very cold at night: the footprint which was useful (and thats as excited as I can get about the groundsheets lol) and the canopy.  Canopy flaps badly if not put up exactly right- could badly do with a middle guying point to be honest.  As well as a su8n canopy, should also be called a wind catcher as hard to put up in even a small breeze, and we would be selective where we used it.  We will be delta pegging next time!  And whilst it was nice when the sun was there- it did rather mean that the area became shaded and cold quickly as it is so big it excludes all but the very front of your view.

On the whole a good tent, would recommend for the money.

Will be posting separately as a review.

Glad you found the tent was a success as I recommended it to a friend a couple of weeks ago based on the fact that we have the smaller but similar Yale. She bought the Ontario last week so its a relief to hear a good report.

The trick behind getting the Kyham Ontario back in the bag is as follows :-

SMALLER SLEEPING PODS

1) Fold the two smaller sleeping pods to make two squares of equal size and the same width as the bag.  Place the two pods on the bottom of the bag to form a rectangle.  Make sure all air is squeezed out before putting in the bag.

LARGE SLEEPING POD

2) Fold the larger pod into a rectangle the same size as the base of the bag and place on top of the two smaller pods, and squeeze out all trapped air.

OUTER TENT

3) Make sure the doors are unzipped and place doors inside the shape of the tent.  Fold in opposite ends of the tent to the middle until the package is a rectangle with one side smaller than the length of the bag.

POLE BAG & OUTER TENT

4) Place pole & peg bag into the middle the rectangle the pole ends should meet the smaller sides of the rectangle.  Wrap the tent around the pole bag to make a tube shape.  Tie red compression straps around the tube and pull tight, make sure that all the trapped air is none and tighten straps.

COMPRESSING THE TENT BAG

5) Place the tent into the bag on top of the pods.  Pull the two sides of the bag around the tent.  You should now have a 1 inch gap between both sides of the zip on the bag.  Connected both outer bag straps and slowly work any trapped air out.

6) Slowly work the zipper up until you meet the first bag strap.  Tighten this strap, and continue to zip up until you arrive at the second strap.  Tighten second strap and continue the zip around to the end of the bag.

Kyham should sale this tent as an all in one work out ! LOL
