It really is a superb tent, we are sooo pleased with it. As i said before me and the wife trawled the internet for hours and hours over a 2-3 week period looking for a suitable tent but we are really glad that we setteled on the Vango Colorado 800 DLX.
Kids love it too.
If you get a chance to pitch up your tent you really should before you go on a camping trip. Easier said than done i know at the moment but just to make sure all the bits are there and no deffects ETC.
Next outing - Cornwall 11th Aug- 2007

I have found the first problem with the Colorado 800 DLX.
Having indured some bad weather on last weeks Cornwall trip i have found the "Bath tub inner ground sheet to cause problems in the door area. Although the GS does attach to toggles all the way round the tent this is not so for the main door area. There is a toggle to the far left of the door and one to the far right but not one in the middle of the door thus causing the GS to sag in the middle of the door. This in strong-ish winds causes the tent door to be pushed in overlapping the GS and letting the water in. This became such a problem that we had to put a safety pin through the ground sheet into the insect mesh door which made me cringe a little i will tell you, but it was all we could do to keep the water out! Tried messing about next day and re-tentioning etc but it made no difference at all. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also the 2 zips on one side of the tent bag have fallen to and my tent is stuck inside and the Velcro pad has come unstiched too. I have just contacted Vango about this to see what they say.
We too encountered that problem with water coming in from the front door. We just managed to prop it up, and were thankful that we had more good weather than bad.
The problem that we did have though is that our groundsheet split approximately 5 inches on the seam - we have contacted Summits though and the whole tent is being returned.
Also one of the toggles wasn't attached on the groundsheet, but I sewed that back on myself.
