Hi there

Does anyone have one of these - I believe they are a new addition to the Gelert range. How are they to erect?

Anyone else managed to get on?

hi

just bought one of these a month ago and have pitched it once as a practice and we found it relatively easy but not yet been away in it. Bought it from undercanvas.net as this is my local camping shop and at £249 thought it was a good buy. The tent is extremely spacious and has a big porch and lots of little extras like pockets for hook ups and storage compartments in porch. If you are anywhere close to carlisle the shop under canvas/carlisle camping have it on display and they are very helpful or you can pay me a visit and I will let you have a go at pitching it x

That's great to know - many thanks. I'm a bit far as away in Berkshire - but I found a great website that gives lots of inside pics.

I guess I will have to practice in the local field - my garden won't be big enough!!

we ahd a Gelert Tahoma 6, so i can tell you a bit, there's only a pod difference isn;t there?

The rtent itself we would recomment, excellent quality (we've never found a better quality one yet) and as sucha  good buy.  Only concerns (and why we sold it) were that it did take quite a while to pitch- if we had the boys with us around 2 hours!!  Alone, it takes us about an hour still (fully pegged)- not fab.  and the size thing was an issue as some sites can cope with long but thins (as we have now) but not wide geodesics, if you only want to go to a few larger sites you'll be OK- we like the caravan and camping ones as wella s the big ones, and they won't touch it!

if you're OK with that though (and one of you is tall- Oh is 5 foot ten and I am five six and we struggled to get the fly over at times) then I would say that this is likely to be an excellent tent of top quality.

Peachyclair

That's brilliant, thank you. My other half is 6 foot 4 so we should be ok on the height thing (I hope)!

Maybe we will have to do lots of practicing to cut down on the time to put it up - or just relax into it and intersperse with a few drinks!!!

Thanks :D
