we ahd a Gelert Tahoma 6, so i can tell you a bit, there's only a pod difference isn;t there?
The rtent itself we would recomment, excellent quality (we've never found a better quality one yet) and as sucha good buy. Only concerns (and why we sold it) were that it did take quite a while to pitch- if we had the boys with us around 2 hours!! Alone, it takes us about an hour still (fully pegged)- not fab. and the size thing was an issue as some sites can cope with long but thins (as we have now) but not wide geodesics, if you only want to go to a few larger sites you'll be OK- we like the caravan and camping ones as wella s the big ones, and they won't touch it!
if you're OK with that though (and one of you is tall- Oh is 5 foot ten and I am five six and we struggled to get the fly over at times) then I would say that this is likely to be an excellent tent of top quality.
