If you will be mostly using it in the UK, then the standard 3 Second tent will be your best bet,if planning on going abroad to warmer climes, then I'd say go for the 3 Second Air (though I bet you'll be closing those vents in the middle of the night when it can get a bit nippy!)
I got the 3 Second Air. I used it a few weeks ago in the UK and we didn't think it was cold at all. It is obviously a small tent and these types of tent often suffer condensation problems. I got the AIR version in order to reduce condensation (Damp sleeping bags etc).
You can obviously close the vents if you think it is too cold.
For a couple of pounds extra, I'd certainly recommend it. Great tent for 1/2 nights!

We`ve not noticed a problem with ours. The standard 3 second tent still has pretty good ventilation.
We used our 3 Second tents in France last year, and had no problems with condensation at all. That said, I'd have preferred the Air model in that climate, since nights in the south of France can range from mafting to nithering, and change very quickly!
